1. The United States reported 12 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 27 in poultry

From March 16 to 20, the United States reported 12 outbreaks in wild birds and 27 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Indiana and 5 other locations, resulting in 245 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, 111 culled, 30,000 commercial poultry infected and died, and 7.259 million culled.

2. Canada reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in wild birds and 1 in poultry

On March 16 and 19, Canada reported 1 outbreak in wild birds and 1 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in British Columbia and one other location, resulting in 46 wild birds and backyard poultry infected and died, 65 culled, 7,741 commercial poultry infected and died, and 101,000 culled.

3. Estonia reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 16 and 17, Estonia reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Harju County and one other location, resulting in 6 wild birds infected and died.

4. Poland reported 6 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry

From March 16 to 19, Poland reported 6 outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in West Pomeranian Voivodeship and 3 other locations, resulting in 68 wild birds and backyard poultry infected, 42 deaths, 26 culled; and among commercial poultry, 26,000 infected, 1,253 deaths, and 78,000 culled.

5. Austria reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 16 and 19, Austria reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Vienna State and one other location, resulting in 2 wild birds infected and died.

6. Denmark reported 13 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry

On March 17 and 20, Denmark reported 13 outbreaks in wild birds and 2 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Ringsted Municipality and 3 other locations, resulting in 16 wild birds infected and died, 292 poultry infected and died, and 42,000 culled.

7. Germany reported 223 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry

From March 17 to 19, Germany reported 223 outbreaks in wild birds and 3 in poultry of H5N1 HPAI in Schleswig-Holstein and 4 other locations, resulting in 297 wild birds and backyard poultry infected, 291 deaths, 122 culled; and 78 commercial poultry infected and died, with 8,082 culled.

8. Czech Republic reported 1 H5N1 HPAI outbreak in poultry

On March 17, Czech Republic reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in the Central Bohemian Region, resulting in an unspecified number of poultry infected and died.

9. The Netherlands reported 7 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 19, the Netherlands reported 7 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in North Holland, Overijssel, Friesland, and the IJsselmeer region, resulting in 14 wild birds infected and died.

10. Lithuania reported 2 H5N1 HPAI outbreaks in wild birds

On March 19, Lithuania reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Alytus County and Klaip?da County, resulting in 4 wild birds infected and died.

On March 19, Finland reported 1 outbreak of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Eastern Finland Province, resulting in 1 wild bird infected and died.

On March 20, Montenegro reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in poultry in Bijelo Polje and one other location, resulting in 92 poultry infected and died, and 9 culled.

On March 16, Peru reported 1 outbreak of H5 subtype HPAI in wild birds in the áncash Region, resulting in 10 backyard poultry infected and died, and 21 culled.

On March 17, Cambodia reported 2 outbreaks of H5N1 HPAI in wild birds in Banteay Meanchey Province, resulting in 21 wild birds infected and died.

On March 19, Germany reported 9 outbreaks of Newcastle disease in Brandenburg, resulting in 777 poultry infected and 677 deaths.

2. Thailand reported 30 rabies outbreaks

On March 16, Thailand reported 30 outbreaks of rabies in Si Sa Ket Province and 8 other locations, resulting in 5 cattle and 25 domestic dogs infected and died.

3. Romania reported 1 rabies outbreak

On March 19, Romania reported 1 outbreak of rabies in Boto?ani County, resulting in 3 domestic dogs infected, 2 deaths, and 1 culled.

4. Turkey reported 3 rabies outbreaks

On March 19, Turkey reported 3 outbreaks of rabies in Mardin, ?anl?urfa, and Sivas provinces, resulting in 4 cattle infected, 3 deaths, and 1 culled.

On March 17, Greece reported 1 outbreak of untyped FMD on the island of Lesbos, resulting in 9 cattle infected.

On March 18, Lesotho reported 3 outbreaks of FMD in Thaba-Tseka District and one other location, consisting of 2 SAT1 outbreaks and 1 untyped outbreak, resulting in 15 cattle infected.

On March 20, South Africa reported 50 outbreaks of SAT2 FMD in Western Cape Province and 2 other locations, resulting in 1,595 cattle infected, 28 deaths, and 11 culled.

On March 16, Poland reported 119 outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in wild boar in Subcarpathian Voivodeship and 7 other locations, resulting in 251 wild boar infected and died.

2. Hungary reported 17 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On March 16, Hungary reported 17 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Pest County and one other location, resulting in 17 wild boar infected and died.

3. Croatia reported 7 ASF outbreaks in wild boar

On March 16 and 20, Croatia reported 7 outbreaks of ASF in wild boar in Osijek-Baranja County, resulting in 18 wild boar infected and died.

4. Moldova reported 1 ASF outbreak in wild boar

On March 16, Moldova reported 1 outbreak of ASF in wild boar in Leova District, resulting in 1 wild boar infected and died.
